Tuesday September 13th kicked off St. Augustine Fashion week with the VIP Preview Party at the beautiful Casa Monica Resort and Spa. If this was any indication of what we will be seeing on the runway the 14th-16th at the Lightner Museum; its going to be a great showing this season!
This was a great chance for us to mingle with the designers and speak with them about what can be expected from this seasons collections. From what we can see there is a little something for everyone.

Company: Gore-geous Shots Photography So, let's jump right in; what makes you so passionate about photography? "I enjoy my opportunities to express myself artistically. People say that a picture is worth 1000 words so I use photography to communicate with my audience in a sense." What separates your work from others? " I try to tell stories with my work. I want to stir an emotion when people see it. " How did you initially get into photography? "My father was a photographer. When it was time for him to upgrade his camera, he asked if I wanted it. I said yes, bought it from him and that is how it all started. I attended family functions and events, asked if i could take photos as practice. My family was/is very supportive and that really helped me while getting my start and growing my talent. From there I was able to book jobs and save money for equipment. I built myself artistically while I gathered the tools I needed to allow myself better quality shots."
Model: Iris Rosario
Do you travel for work usually? "Traveling is no problem at all. I do quite a bit actually.
What is something people don't know about you? "Ha, I'm an introvert. I'm not big on the whole social aspect of my field of work. So that is really where I use photography to communicate with my audience, my work speaks for its self. Its a collaboration that sometimes builds on itself, my art, the models interpretation, the designers, location, hair & makeup. We are a group of artist coming together and creating to tell a story."
If you had to choose, what would be your dream shoot? "I'd love to do a fashion editorial shoot. Something more high fashion, on a beach with the gowns, at sunset, you know." Have you ever thought of film? "Yeah, I have a huge interest in film. I actually would like to create a short film in the future and see how that goes."
Is there anything that you want people to know about you? " Yeah. This is for love, it is love, its art..... I'm living my dream. Photography is not a job for me, it my passion! Before, I was just existing; going thru life like a robot. Now I'm living, I'm alive! Seeing your hard work, practice and dedication payoff is a rewarding feeling."
Model: Susanna Nelson
What keeps you such a humble person? "Well honesty, I know that there are others in my field that are more experienced than I am, better. I understand that I am still climbing, I'm not the best yet but the best is my goal. I am still learning." Are you working on any new projects? " At the moment I'm working on getting published. I'm constantly looking to collaborate with other artists to expand into bigger networks professionally and just growing.” One of your goals? " I'd love to work with TIME Magazine or like GQ someday."

When I got the news that the band Together In Exile was coming to Ocala to perform, I had to see if we could get an interview for Anzzia.com! To my surprise, the guys were more than willing to give a quick interview before hitting the stage at O’Malleys on the Downtown Square in Ocala, Fl. It was my first time watching the them live and they did not disappoint!!
Artist: Together In Exile
Genre? Metal, Hard Rock, Awesome! Hometown? Currently based in Tampa FL Members Thomas Crane- Vocals Matty Fantastic- Guitars Danny Cayocca- Drums Jerry Morte- Guitars Ilyn Nathaniel- Bass So, tell me a little about your band. What sets your music apart from others? Thomas: “We play heavy music, but we try to make it to where everyone can sing along, move to it, and really identify with our lyrics. But really I think we just have a general attitude of not giving a f**k and people kind of like that.” Matty: “The thing about us is we are all from the same genre of music. We play stuff that are meant for live performances. Music that will really get the crowd moving and kickin each other’s ass. But more so than that its melody really. Plus, we’re all just some handsome fellows sooooo yeah! How did you all come together?Danny: “We all came from other bands that had broken up. We decided to start our own thing. We literally found Thomas on Craigslist, reached out to him and asked if he would come sing and he did. It worked out perfectly.” Have any new projects? Thomas: “We recently released a new album so we are really focusing on promoting and playing as many venues as possible.” Matty: We want to meet everyone! There are so many towns that we would like to take this record to.” Ilyn: We are also working of a music video for Future Ex-Wife, so be sure to keep an eye out for that as well.” Most epic band memory?Thomas: “Lets just say it involves cops, alligators, and one of us getting kicked in the face!” Danny: “I like to go to the story where this guy (points to Ilyn) was running around the hotel naked. Me and Matty were trying to stop him, then he got lost. Ha! We searched everywhere then he randomly appears in the room. Epic!”
Where do you see your band in 5 – 10 years’ time?Matty: Definitely on tour. We have been talking with the right people hopefully we can make that happen soon. Jerry: “In 10 years we should have at least 10 albums by then. I believe in a band NOT taking 5 years to write an album. This band has been together about a year, in that time we made an album, recorded it and now we are traveling and performing for our fans to promote it.”
What would be your dream venue to sell out? “Madison Square Garden! That’s definitely the one Thomas: “Yeah, that would be awesome. I would really want to sell out the arena in my hometown. Huntington West Virginia. There are a lot of great people there and old friends so I’d really love to go back and show there.” Matty: “I think for Ilyn and I we are both from Cleveland so we would like to sell out there. If you could collaborate with another band or talent, would you? Who would it be? Why? Matty: Unfortunately, Dimebag Darrell isn’t alive anymore, otherwise it would definitely be Pantera.” Danny: “I would love to do a song with Marilyn Manson and Dr. Dre.” Jerry: “Aw man, you can pick anyone. I just wat to be out on the road with some good bands and bring our music to the public, that would be awesome man.” Ilyn: “I would kind of like to work with all the other bands that we have from the past and make like an orchestral feel album. Or ever the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.”
What has been the hardest part of this lifestyle? Matty: “It’s the industry. There are a lot of bands that take away from the ones that are working really hard to create original music, ya know? Keeping the finances of 5 people in order is very tough also. Everyone here has bills but we are in agreeance that the band comes first so the hardest part would be staying together thru life stuff. But this is what life is for us. We live to play music and that’s what’s first. That’s how is supposed to be.”
How many years have you been together? Ilyn: “We have been together a year now.” What drives you to keep making music? What do you love about it? Thomas: “Art is its own reward for me but I’d probably be doing this weather people payed attention to it or not. It’s really easy to play to a packed house but everybody in a band knows what it feels like to play to a packed venue as well as an empty one…. So, yeah I just love it, I’d do this any way. Danny: “You really can’t do it for anything other than the love of music. This is a really tough business with the promise of an uncertain future. You don’t reap any rewards or get paid for a long time so if you don’t love it, you won’t make it. It’s a life commitment the we all made. We have that work ethic, drive, and determination to make it so we will see.”
